The tight race between the two remaining Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, means that Oregon's May 20th primary could be very decisive. Since only registered Democrats can vote in the contest, many voters are looking to change their registration. You can help the Democratic Party of Oregon re-register voters for the primary at your local Earth Day event. Write to field@dpo.org for more information, to sign-up, and to let us know about an event in your area you think we should be at.

The Climate Security Act has bi-partisan support in the U.S. Senate. Oregon's other U.S. Senator, Democrat Ron Wyden, is a co-sponsor. Yet Smith won't stand up to his corporate backers and support this bill.
