The Election Integrity Caucus submitted testimony in support of SB 29.

LOCAL VICTORY FOR ELECTION REFORM
On March 12, 2009 the Multnomah County Democratic Central Committee adopted this resolution in support of Senate Bill 29, a bill which would eliminate the barriers in Oregon Election Code that currently prevent local cities, counties and Metropolitan service districts  in Oregon from freely deciding whether to conduct their local elections using an instant runoff voting system. This is a significant statement of support for local control over our election process. Copies of the resolution will be sent to all Multnomah County state legislators.

Additional resolutions, calls and letters from individuals and groups to the Senate Rules Committee in support of SB29 are needed.
